George Clooney reveals how his marriage proposal to Amal went hilariously wrong!

George Clooney and his beloved wife, Amal Clooney are the epitome of perfection at every social appearance. The much-in-love couple has given us several instances to believe that the two are made for each other. Naturally, with such graceful a couple, you expect the marriage proposal to be equally classy and epic. Unfortunately, things did not go as George would have liked them to.The 'Tomorrowland' actor, recently appeared on 'The Ellen DeGeneres' Show where he revealed quite a few secrets about his proposal, and trust us they are likely to leave you in splits'

So the actor confessed that he had it all planned, with home-cooked dinner and his aunt, Rosemary Clooney's song 'Why shouldn't I' playing in the background. What he hadn't guessed was Amal's reaction. The actor claimed his ladylove was shocked by the proposal that she simply kept staring at the ring for about 25 minutes until finally George had to say 'Look, I hope the answer's yes, but I need an answer 'cause I'm 52 and I could throw out my hip pretty soon."
We have to admit that's not the most romantic proposal, but guess it doesn't matter because we all know what Amal's reply was!
